The coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, admitted that he did not forget the statements of Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, who accused him of racism, after he was excluded from representing the national team over the case of Matteo Valbuena's blackmail.
Deschamps said in press statements, in which he stated: “The case of Karim Benzema?  What happened had an effect on me, even if I forgot a little over time, I cannot completely forget her. ”He added:“ It is not just about Karim, there were also statements from other people that affected my family, so what was said about me affected my name and my family in  France. ”And he continued:“ When choosing the players, I only look at the tactical side and the technical side, and I do not care about anything else, but the line has been crossed here, this matter affects my name and my family, this is unacceptable. ”He concluded:“ Benzema crossed the limits with what he said,  His verbal and physical statements can not be forgotten, I can not forget, and I will never forget, I suffer from the consequences so far. ”Benzema said after his official exclusion from the squad that participated in Euro 2016:“ Deschamps succumbed to the pressures of a racist part of France. ”
